Boarding
Your Horse, Cared For Like Our Own
Driven by relationships
At Bayboro, boarding isn't a transaction — it's a relationship. Just an hour from Manhattan, we're close enough for owners to drive out and see their horse any day of the week, and far enough to feel like a completely different world once you're here.
Every horse on our 100-acre property is looked after by an on-site owner/manager and trainer, so there's always someone here who knows your horse — how they eat, how they move, how they're feeling before you even walk in the barn. We monitor each horse's weight regularly and consult with an equine nutritionist on an ongoing basis, so feed and supplement programs stay dialed in as your horse's needs change through the season.
Turnout is managed seasonally, with the goal of maximizing time outside in our grassy fields whenever weather allows. We keep it simple and consistent: premium second-cut hay, tailored Purina feed and supplement programs, and daily turnout across 40+ acres of paddocks, with smaller individual pens available when a horse needs its own space.
We know not every owner can be at the barn every day — and not every owner wants to be. That's why we offer several boarding packages, from a basic package for local owners who come out daily and want to be hands-on with their horse's care, to a full-care package for owners who can't make it out regularly and want the peace of mind that everything is handled. We manage on your behalf annual vaccinations and vet care, emergency vet care, a 5-week schedule Farrier, and weight management. For some clients we offer exercise packages, full grooming services and tacking up if needed.
And because we believe good horse care runs on good communication, you'll always know what's going on. Questions, updates, a change in feed, a call from the vet or farrier — we keep you in the loop, not guessing. Our goal is simple: when you're not here, you should feel just as confident about your horse's care as when you are. Don’t take our word for it, talk to our clients and see our reviews.
“Living in NYC, I needed a barn where I could trust that my horse was happy and well looked after when I couldn't be there. Bayboro has been exactly that for me and Bling. The horses receive excellent attention, communication is great, and I always feel in the loop. When I go to the barn, I get to relax, ride, and enjoy my horse instead of worrying about the details. Highly recommend for anyone balancing a busy city job with horse ownership.”
